RDRWA World of Workshops: Fall General Meeting at the Bentley Hall on October 25

The Red Deer River Watershed Alliance (RDRWA) has announced that its Fall General Meeting will be held at the Bentley Hall on Friday, October 25,

Also note that the RDRWA will convene stakeholders at three locations in September (i.e., really soon, this month) to hear about developments on the Integrated Watershed Management Plan. To register for one of the workshops click here. The workshop agenda includes:

In the morning, O2 Planning + Design will present its report on surface water quantity and groundwater resources in the watershed, followed by questions, answers and comments. This is the third of what will be four Background Technical Reports, which will form a foundation of information on which to build the Integrated Watershed Management Plan.

In the afternoon, the workshop will explore what stakeholders are already doing in the area of surface water quantity and groundwater resources. There will also be discussions on how groups and individuals could work together to implement the watershed plan. These workshops will be especially useful for staff or representatives of organizations or agencies involved in making decisions or addressing issues regarding surface water quantity and groundwater resources.

Note that the third Background Technical Report on Surface Water Quantity / Groundwater Quality and Quantity (10 MB) and the associated maps (15 MB) are posted for public comment.
