Sylvan Lake’s Water Quality Checkup

See this photo album of an ALMS – SLWSS water quality monitoring project on Sylvan Lake.

Watch the team leave Marina Bay and return three hours later after collecting and recording depth profile data with sensors and water column samples at various deep-water stations around the lake. The team of Jackson (the ALMS tech), Jim, Colin and Graeme completed just one of five sampling days scheduled by ALMS for the 2014 open water season.

SLWSS directors Bob Samson and Devon Shouldice were the volunteer boat drivers for two previous sampling days in June and July.

Eventually all the data will be reported as a LakeWatch report for 2014, and logged in to the Alberta water quality database for lakes in the province.
